SAVE, SPEND, GIVE–a Fun Mobile App for Kids!
My First Nest Egg is a mobile app designed to teach children ages 3-12 financial literacy through an engaging, gamified platform. The app provides a virtual piggy bank with three accounts: Save, Spend, and Give, allowing parents to track their children’s virtual funds without requiring real money or bank account information.
Key features include:
- Patent-pending chore puzzles that make earning and saving fun
- Daily financial lessons to build money vocabulary
- A credit score game to teach basic financial concepts
- Monthly leaderboards tracking achievements and acts of kindness
- Ability to set earning goals and track progress
Money Habits Established by Age 7
The app was created by two moms in collaboration with child psychologists, emphasizing that money habits are set by age 7. It aims to help parents teach children smart money management in a digital, cashless world, motivating kids to complete chores and learn financial responsibility through interactive, age-appropriate challenges.
